note : il ritiro di Hulme ed i problemi di Stewart spianano la strada alla vittoria di Hill, campione per la seconda volta. Eroe del GP Jo Siffert che partito in pole perde terreno nei primi giri, compie una spettacolare rimonta e si porta in testa, ma deve fernarsi ai box, riparte con due giri di distacco e riesce a classificarsi sesto, ultima presenza per la Honda, che ritornerà come motorista negli anni 80.
